FIRE System Rails - Standard & Scout

These two GG&G FIRE System rails were designed to mount easily over the integral rails of the M16/AR-15 flat top receiver and work in conjunction with our MAD or A2 Style BUIS flip-up rear sights. As they raise the line of sight by ½- inch, they offer a proper cheek weld when optical devices are attached. In addition, they serve to protect the flat top receiver’s integral rails from the wear associated with quick-release-type mounts. The Scout length rail extends 2 inches beyond the handguards and clears the M4 forearm. It was developed to accommodate long-eye-relief “scout”-type scopes and also Aimpoint red dot sights with night vision monoculars mounted to their rear. The standard length rail has been employed mainly as a riser for conventional optical sights. Manufactured from 6061 T6 aluminum alloy, black hard-coat anodized, all of the GG&G FIRE System rails meet MIL-STD-1913. These rails lock onto the flat top receiver by means of a locking side bar and two socket head screws. This provides both a positive and perfectly aligned lock-up even on well-worn receiver rails. The socket head wrench required for installation is included.

FIRE System GS-1 Rail

Our GS-1 FIRE System rail was designed for mounting a conventional-type scope on the M16/AR15. It provides significantly longer eye relief for a proper scope/operator interface and the capability of attaching additional optical devices, such as a night vision monocular. The back of the rail has been tapered to blend with the rear of the upper receiver and is not designed to mount a BUIS flip-up rear sight. It extends 3 inches over the handguards and clears the M4 forearm. Manufactured from 6061 T6 aluminum alloy, black hard-coat anodized, the GS-1 rail meets MIL-STD-1913. As with the other FIRE System rails, it locks onto the flat top receiver by means of a locking side bar and two socket head screws. It’s available, on request, with 20 MOA of elevation built in.

Trijicon Reflex Sight—Scout Rail and Adapter

The Trijicon Reflex Sight is certainly rugged and durable. It has found favor with many SPEC OP shooters, and in this scenario is usually mounted on the M4 carbine. However, many have reported that the factory mount is too high and thus a proper cheek weld is difficult to obtain, especially in a high stress environment.

The GG&G Trijicon Reflex Scout Rail and adapter consists of a standard GG&G Scout Rail which is pre-drilled for a special adapter that provides for the rigid mounting of the Reflex Sight at the front end of the rail. When the Reflex Sight is mounted in this manner either of the GG&G flip up rear iron sights can be used to sight through the Reflex Sight to the front sight if the need should arise. With the long eye relief capability of the Trijicon Reflex Sight, we have found that this position works very well. In addition to providing a durable and rigid mounting surface, this set up provides enough rail space to mount a night vision pocket scope, such as the ITT 6015/PVS14, behind the Reflex Sight.

All components are included and easily installed by the user. First the special adapter is securely attached to the Reflex with three screws and then both the reflex and adapter are mounted to the Scout rail with two screws. All GG&G FIRE System rails are manufactured to meet MIL-STD-1913. Both the Scout Rail and the adapter are manufactured from 6061T6 aluminum alloy and are hard anodized matte black.

M3 Tactical Illuminator Light Rail Adapter For Dovetails

Our new M3 Tactical Illuminator adapter rail for dovetail installation on such systems as the Knight Armaments Company’s “RIS” or “RAS” forearms or the D.S. Arms rail units for the FN FAL series can be easily installed and provides a solid and sturdy mounting base for the M3. This clever squeeze rail design will also fit on mil spec 1913 and other “Weaver”-type dovetails. Both the adapter rail and the M3 Tactical Illuminator can be easily installed or removed. This new GG&G adapter is manufactured from 6061 T6 aluminum and is hard-anodized matte black.

Offset Tactical Flashlight Mount
For Use With Vertical Foregrip

The hit probability of any shoulder-mounted, selective-fire weapon can be greatly increased by installation of a vertical foregrip, as weapons of this type are often deployed in the full auto mode, especially at distances under 15 yards. In addition, flashlights attached to shoulder-mounted weaponry are a requirement for urban warfare. Without doubt, an illumination device is a very important accessory. Until now, attempting to use a tactical flashlight in conjunction with a vertical foregrip resulted in three scenarios: 1. Purchase an expensive combination vertical foregrip/flashlight. 2. While trying to maintain a grip on the vertical foregrip, attempt an uncomfortable and dangerous rotation of the grip hand to try to get the thumb high enough to engage the rear of the flashlight typically mounted at the three o'clock or nine o'clock position (strong left shooter). 3. Use an expensive and somewhat messy pig tail with a pressure pad glued to the foregrip.

GG&G’s staff has solved the problem of interfacing a vertical foregrip with a weapon-mounted flashlight in an ingenious manner. The Offset Tactical Flashlight Mount For Use With Vertical Foregrips places the M3 or other tactical flashlight, offset to the right or left of the weapon’s forearm at about 5 o’clock or 8 o’clock, respectively. This permits the operator to manipulate with the thumb, the M3 Illuminator’s rocker switch or rear pressure button of other tactical flashlights such as many within the Surefire line, while the support hand remains solidly on the vertical foregrip. The Offset Tactical Flashlight Mount For Use With Vertical Foregrips comes complete with both rails. The M3 mounting rail can be easily removed and a short section of MIL-STD-1913 rail installed for attaching a SUREFIRE or other small flashlight by means of a standard ring. The mounting rails are fully interchangeable.
